Vodafone: Daten-Flatrate in 22 Ländern inklusive

Das heisst also:

• Ich habe eine Vodafone Vetrag mit gebuchter Internet Flatrate.
• Folglich die Vodafone ReiseFlat Data inkl.
• Und kann somit in den 22 gelisteten Ländern kostenlos über Vodafone surfen.

Das hat  mir die Hotline grad bestätigt

Wichtig: Achtet drauf, dass auch wirklich “Vodafone” im Display steht wenn ihr euch verbindet. Es kann noch ein paar Monate dauern, bis Vodafone das auch mit den anderen Netzen geklärt hat.

The idea is cool and it already works for a small community auf media producer and their dedicated audience. But the idea is still waiting for the big breaktrough. There is no mass adoption … yet.

If you compare a “Flattr-Button” with Facebooks “Like-Button” … can you see the similarity.

This was mentioned at the Not Safe For Work Podcast #27 and hell yeah … this could be big … and can change revenue models for many mirco businesses, artists and media producers.

Lets start with an assumption:

1% of Facebook users would pay 5 Dollar per month into a Flattr like Facebook system, this would already be over 25 Million Dollar eco system.

When clicking the Like-Button on a Facebook profile, website or a status message the user shares a part of his 5 Dollar with this site or person and supports what he likes and loves. Favorite Bands, organizations, tv series – artits in general – would start to gain a new revenue stream for their work.

What happens if I like a friends status message? This is where the social of Facebook kicks in. Its the “giving it forward” principal. Even if the friend is not part of the 1% of paying facebook users … he or she has now somethig to share with his like clicks. This way the money is distributed thru the system. Everybody who wants an outpayment of this stream system has to register and to prove that thats ok with local tax etc – Facebook can take a cut of this payout too.

Last question is:

Why would a user on facebook spend 5 Dollar a month this way?

I am not a sociologist, but people give all the time money to stuff they love and like. For example on the subway … one of hundert persons is giving the artist playing good music a dime. And if artits and producers can make money on facebook and pay their rent with it – hey they will get the system going. Flattr proved this already on the small scale.

Facebook would never be able to force their users to pay … but maybe there is a good reason to give money to facebook …. if they help to distribute it to the people that make our life more enjoyable.

Dazu habe ich folgenden Test-Aufbau gehabt:

• kleine 12V Batterie mit 17 Ah Kapazität voll geladen
• ein 12V-zu-USB-Adapter der Marke Voltcraft Typ CPS1000 MINI
• per USB-Ladekabel angeschlossenes Smartphone

Auf dem Smartphone lief eine Applikation, welche alle 5 Sekunden den Batteriestand checkt, die GPS-Position bestimmt und im Mobilfunknetz eingebucht ist. Nach 98 Stunden war die Batterie erschöpft.

Ergebnis: Ein ungefähren Verbrauch von 0,175 A pro Stunde

An einer grossen vollgeladenen Boardbatterie im Wohnmobil mit 80 Ah könnte also das Telefon in dieser Funktionalität knappe 3 Wochen betrieben werden … mit der Unterstützung eines kleinen Solarpanels, sollte auch ein Dauerbetrieb bei längeren Standzeiten möglich sein.

Bei dieser Preisklasse komme ich ja ins überlegen, was man noch alles mit so nem Telefon machen könnte … ist ja ein richtiger kleiner mobiler Computer. Auf jeden Fall nen klasse Ersatz- bzw. Zweittelefon für unterwegs.

Hier findet sich eine Vielzahl von Stellplätzen fürs Wohnmobil in Deutschland und Europa … noch mit wenigen Details, aber das kann man ja in Web2.0 Manier ändern

Mein Mobilfunkprovider Vodafone bietet da ein günstiges Tagespaket für 2 EUR inkl. 25 MB … danach kostet allerdings jedes weitere Megabyte stolze 3,40 EUR!

Da finde ich folgendes Angebot der Firma ABroadBand doch viel interessanter:

In 50 Ländern für 0,59 EUR pro Megabyte surfen.

Die SIM-Karte kostet einmalig 19,90 EUR. Man zahlt nur das, was man auch verbraucht.

Ich würde mir wünschen, dass Vodafone das auch hinbekommt. Aber bis dahin gibts endlich eine bezahlbare Alternative … auch wenn 0,59 EUR auch noch viel zu viel für 1 Megabyte ist. Doch wenn man kein WLAN findet, scheint es eine brauchbare Alternative für “Always Online … On the Road”.

UPDATE: Grad gesehen, dass SIMYO innerhalb der EU das MB für 0,49 EUR bietet … auch ohne Vetragsbindung. Sweet.

Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich Gruendern, die Bootstrapp ins Auge fassen noch folgene Tipps geben:

1. Start Small

Es muss nicht gleich eine UG (Unternehmer Gesellschaft) sein, auch wenn sich diese mit 1 EUR Stammkapital gruenden laesst … eine GbR ist am Anfang viel flexibler und guenstiger. Solange sich das Produkt noch in der Entwicklung mit Referenzkunden befindet, eigenet sich eine GbR perfekt als Vorbereitungsgesellschaft.

2. Set The Rules

Wie im Artikel bereits angesprochen … im Gesellschaftervertrag auf jeden Fall regeln welche Ausstiegsmoeglichkeiten sich einzelnen Mitgruendern bietet … denn nicht jeder hat den langen Atem das Bootstrapping durchzuziehen.

3. Keep Track Of Your Investments

Neben Eigenkapital ist Zeit das wichtigste Investment, das beim Bootstrapping von den Gruendern in die Unternehmung eingebracht wird. Daher empfiehlt es sich wenn jedes Teammitglied zumindest ein grobes Protokoll fuehrt und dieses einmal im Monat in einem gemeinsamen Dokument zusammengefuehrt und ggf. besprochen wird.
